Technology

The Technology competency allows student affairs practitioners the tools to understanding the digital footprint of the students they are serving, as well as how performance inside and outside the classroom can be improved.  I have developed through this technology competency.  Looking at the outcome of "engage in personal and professional digital communication and collaboration tools to market and promote advising, programming, and other learning-focused interventions and to engage students in these activites" (ACPA & NASPA 2015, p. 33), I have been able to develop further through the following activities:

My work with Falcon Nation, an online community portal that all undergraduate students are a member of.  This work includes communicating to students about the current events on the Bowling Green State University campus community

Looking at the current trends facing undergraduate students, I was able to create an Instagram account for the Office of Campus Activities in order to effectively communicate points of pride of the student population
